Registration Concerns
- What is School Loop?
School Loop is primarily an online communication tool for parents, teachers, and students. For more information, see our School Loop page or visit the School Loop website. UUSD offers this as a free service to the parents/guardians of our students.
- Who may register for an account with School Loop
Parents and students as well as any relative or caregiver may register for a free account and become part of a student's loop. Please read the security FAQs for more information about accounts.
- How long does the registration process take?
Under 60 seconds! Seriously. Visit the registration page for your free account.
- Must I reapply each new school year?
No. Parent accounts remain active until the last student on the account graduates or leaves UHS.
Account Management
- How do I change my password?
Log in and look for the "Account Management" link in the top right corner of the screen. The change password button will be found on the next page. Your new password takes effect immediately.
- What do I do if I've forgotten my user ID and/or password?
The login page has a link for help with forgotten login names and passwords. If necessary, you can always use the School Loop email form found on our contact page.
- How can I add another child to my existing account?
When you log in to your account, look for the "Add Student" link on the right side of the page. After adding a second student to your account, you will see both children's names in the "Your Students" section of your account. To view a particular child's information, click on their name.
- How do I cancel my account?
Use the School Loop email form on the contact page to make your request.
- Where do I find the login page?
For your convenienc, bookmark this page: http://uplandhigh.schoolloop.com. There's also a link to the login page under the Quick Links menu above.
- Why can't I see my child's grades or send LoopMail to teachers?
As an added security measure, a school administrator or teacher must approve all new accounts before grades become visible and LoopMail is activated. If your account has not been approved after 3 - 4 school days, please use the School Loop email form on the contact page.
- Can I change when I get the daily email reminder?
The daily email reminders go out at about 5 pm every school day. If you wish, you may opt out of the daily emails in the Account Management area of your account. Of course, all of the information in the email reminders is available online 24x7.
- Where are my child's report cards?
While School Loop does display individual teacher gradebooks, it does not show either report cards or deficiency notices. To view report cards online, as well as daily attendance and transcript details, please apply for an account with Intouch Online, another free service offered by UUSD.
- Who do I contact when I need a live person to help me with School Loop?
Your best bet is to call the high school at (909) 949-7880 and leave a message for the person in charge of School Loop. Your call will be returned as soon as possible.
Security Issues
- How secure is School Loop?
All of the information viewed on School Loop is password protected. It is, therefore, important that you keep your password completely private. Passwords can be changed as frequently as you wish. No personal information (address, phone number, etc.) is stored on School Loop and email addresses are kept 100% confidential. Additionally, the School Loop database is completely separate from the UUSD student information system.
- Could anyone hack into School Loop and change my child's information?
In the unlikely event that someone actually hacked into School Loop, it would have absolutely no effect on the the UUSD student information system. Additionally, School Loop maintains daily backups and teachers maintain their own records for assignments and grades.
- Who else can view my student's information?
Teachers, counselor, and administrators have always had access to student records, even before School Loop. Without a School Loop account, no one else can view the information presented in School Loop. Whenever someone registers to be in your child's loop, that person can be challenged. See the next FAQ.
- What prevents the wrong people from getting access to my child's information?
Whenever there's a new registrant in your child's loop, every member of the loop has the opportunity to challenge that person's right to be part of the loop. In the case of a clear-cut challenge, the new registrant's account will be deleted. In less clear cases, a school official will seek additional information from all parties involved before making a decision.
