Upland High School

Principal's Message

Pam Salgado

Dear Students and Parents,

Welcome to Upland High School for the 2017-18 school year. As your principal, I am very excited to share some new information about our campus and facilities.

Work has begun on our new stadium with completion anticipated by the start of school. We also have had the parking lots on 11th and San Antonio repaved and restriped, with several other projects online for completion.

As we work to ensure that our campus is safe and secure, there will be some new procedures and policies in place. To begin, we will no longer be able to accept items for drop off. This includes lunches, sports bags, money, etc. Additionally, you will notice new check in procedures that will require you to scan your ID in order to receive a visitor’s pass.

You may have also heard that we are moving to one lunch this year. This is very exciting and will provide opportunities for students to actively engage with clubs, ASB activities, etc. The policy for off-campus passes will remain the same with seniors who meet the specific criteria being allowed to apply for the privilege.

Upland High continues to grow and develop amazing academic programs:

  • AVID
  • Arts, Media and Entertainment Academy
  • Business Academy
  • Engineering and Architecture Academy
  • Health Occupations Preparation and Education Academy
  • 34 AP and Honors courses

Our school culture fosters, nurtures, guides and supports our students to have high expectations and achieve great things. As your principal, I am truly committed to help our students develop into productive, successful, and contributing adults.

Sincerely,

Pamela Salgado
