UHS Dance Department

The Performing Arts Dance Program is an innovative curriculum that encompasses both training and performing in classical dance, including jazz, ballet, modern, tap, and cultural dance genres.  All classes run successfully on a multilevel structure, offering appropriate challenges for both the beginner or advanced dancer.  These are co-ed, elective arts credit courses open to all grades and are taught within the Performing Arts Department.  All classes are taught by Mrs. Angelique Tahajian who received her B.A. in dance from the University of California at Irvine, as well as studied with various studios and master teachers in California and New York.

Thank you to all students who came out to audition for the UHS Dance Courses.  We had a record number of students auditioning for the courses and are so excited about all the amazing talent we have here at Upland High School.  We have attached the list along with the waitlist for each class we offer at the high school.  Every student who auditioned should be listed on at least one list.  If you auditioned and your name is missing please contact Mrs. Tahajian via school loop.

All students will be expected to wear all black for classes next year and as we launch our new Arts, Media and Entertainment Academy.
